  I would love to use a direction (ciudadano.wordpress.com) but it says “Sorry, but that site already exists!”. When I type the URL the displayed screen reads: “… .com is no longer available. The author deleted this site.”

  I want to know if the name can be released or should I ask for it to the blog author.

  Pick a new name – once a name is deleted it is gone forever – blog URL’s are not recycled at WordPress.COM
