unavailable wordpress.com subdomains

  Dear WP,

  I can’t reserve the following subdomains:

  junkheap.wordpress.com – doesn’t exist but name is reserved
  webjunk.wordpress.com – deleted by the authors
  spongebelly.wordpress.com – deleted by the authors (not me!)
  dispatches.wordpress.com – blog with 1 test post from 2010

  Is there anything you can do about this? I know your policy on releasing previously used subdomains, but do you have no discretion in these matters whatsoever?

  No – none at all. You either need to find a new name, convince an owner of a domain name you want to let you use it or get a custom domain name and map it to a blog here.
