Unbinding domain from wordpress.com

I set up my blog so that the primary url is a domain I own. I’ve owned the domain for a while and have a hosting account set up through a third-party as well. My ambitions for the blog have outgrown the free themes and whatnot that wordpress.com offers and I’d like to have more control of how to customize the set-up.

So, to achieve this, I assume I’d have to get control of my domain back somehow, yet I can’t seem to find where to change my domain settings (I looked under settings > domain, perhaps I missed something?)

So I guess my question is, how can I separate my custom domain from my wordpress blog and just revert it to the blogname.wordpress.com so I can do what I please with my domain?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Step 1
Under Settings > Domains, make your blogname.wordpress.com your Primary URL.
    Step 2
With your registrar, change the name servers for your domain to the name servers of your new host for your blog.
