Unblock IP address
-
Hi I have a domain name under GoDaddy. I have used it to mask the url of my wordpress site. I got in touch with them with the following problem;
I have a wordpress blog that is using a masked godaddy domain name. For example, when you type in http://www.mysite.com it shows http://www.mysite.com but when I go to a blog post instead of showing http://www.mysite.com/blog-post it still shows http://www.mysite.com. How can I get my masked domain to update the url when navigating through my website.
Now they told me that I should contact you and get you to unblock my IP address and this will erradicate the problem.
Can you tell me if this is right? If so then can you unblock my IP address? If not can you tell me what else I can do?
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We do not provide support for masking and forwarding domains so do be clear on that. All WordPress.COM sites are on dynamic IP addresses that change periodically and what you are doing will fail.
WordPress.com does not accept domain transfers but mapping an existing domain is possible. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

Hi there,
We’re not blocking your IP in any way. The problem is that you’re using an unsupported method to connect your site to your domain.
If you’re using domain masking to have your WordPress.com site show up at your domain, you’re preventing us from controlling your domain, so your site cannot work correctly. We won’t be able to add and SSL certificate to your domain, your site won’t show the mobile view on smaller screens as the masking prevents us from detecting the screen size of the device people use to view your sites, the admin bar won’t work correctly, and several widgets as well as stats also won’t work the way they’re supposed to.
The only way to fix this is to properly map the domain to your site according to the instructions @timethief provided above.
