Unblockable Blogs when looking through my reader for new blogs.

  When I am looking through tags for different blogs, often I come across ‘blogs’ which I cannot block such as the Calgary Herald or UPROXX. I would really like to block these blogs because the don’t interest me and I don’t want to see them any more in my reader. Is there a reason I can’t block? Or is there a way to do so? Thanks for your time.
