Unblockable spam

Lately there have been a lot of blogs that we cannot block. For example, on the education page, there are many blogs from CBS… that are junk news/marketing that cannot be blocked. We are paying for our website. All blogs in reader should be blockable. Right?

We’ll add this. There is currently so much spam on the education page that it’s unreadable. What goes on with your spam filter that on page after page, from time to time they become inundated like this? Do your editors/site managers not look at WordPress reader pages??? And, again, how does anyone get away with posting junk that can’t be blocked, i.e. the junk CBS sites above?

Just to clarify, you’re referring to blog posts that are appearing within the WordPress.com Reader, not to spam comments that are appearing on your blog. Is that correct?
If so, can you let me know the URL of the posts that are appearing? You can just click on the title, and you’ll be taken to the individual post page. Also, could you take a screenshot of your entire window where you see these posts in your Reader? Instructions can be found here:
