Uncategorized won't go away

  I’ve changed the name of the category… there aren’t any posts in the uncategorized section…

  But I still can’t seem to get rid of an “Uncategorized” section when I search my website in google. Ugh.

  Uncategorized is the default category.

  You can change the default category in the Default Post Category field on the Writing Settings screen at: https://elouisehinds.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-writing.php

  If you have categorized Uncategorized category name from Categories screen and yet it appears as Uncategorized on the widget, I suggest you remove the Categories widgets from the Widgets dashboard screen https://elouisehinds.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php and add it back.
