Uncaught TypeError: Object function … has no method 'wpcom_proxy_request'

  Jetpack’s Toolbar Notifications is throwing an error. Here’s how to reproduce. Browse to http://make.wordpress.org/ and login with a WordPress.org login. Then, click the Toolbar Notifications icon. The error I see is:

  Uncaught TypeError: Object function (e,t){return new x.fn.init(e,t,r)} has no method ‘wpcom_proxy_request’

  The file that is throwing the error is:

  Also, the Toolbar Notifications window does open, but the loading icon just continues to spin.
