  Hi, I have deleted my blog. I don’t need any of the data on it I just need the title/url back. When I try to create a blog with the old name it says it is in use. But when I search for it, it says it is deleted. Can I get the domain/url (whatever you call it)back?

  OK, so I guess I will just use the my domain at some other blog service. I sure I understand the reasoning behind this. But if that is the rules…

  All I wanted to do is host it on my own site with my own domain. I guess I just don’t understand all this.

  If you own your own domain name, one without “wordpress” in it, then you should be able to register a new blog here and map that domain name to it for $10 a year. If you bought the domain name, you own it and can use it on another blog. That does NOT apply to the original names of WP.com blogs, of the format whatever.wordpress.com. Those names and URLs belong to WordPress.com.
