Under Construction

Is there a way to display an “under construction / maintenance” page without using a plugin? (I have a free account and can’t use plugins) I’d like to display a page like that while I change a bunch of content on my website. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there!
I see that you’ve added an UNDER CONSTRUCTION note to a page on your website. You can also make that page full-width, without a sidebar if you wanted to hide that sidebar while under construction.
To do this, open your A Little Maintenance page in the editor. In the right-hand column, there is a box with Page Attributes. Change your page template so it doesn’t display a sidebar, and then Update that page to save the adjustment.
You can also remove the About link from your menu, if you’d like. Simply create a custom menu with just a homepage link:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/As you’ve already done, you can keep all your posts/pages private until you’re ready to publish your content.
You can also change your site visibility and make your entire site private while you’re still working. You would do that at Settings → Reading in your site’s Dashboard, or just click this link:
