Under Premium Membership does my website reside with ISP or WordPress.com?

  Describing the residence and loading of my website a WordPress explanatory page wrote: ‘You keep the domain registered with the company you purchased it from (the registrar), such as GoDaddy or 1&1, but point the domain here so it loads your WordPress.com site.’

  |Presently, I have a domain name and am hosting my website with the ISP who I purchased it from. If I purchase your Premium Membership does it require that I abandon my present website and rebuild it a WordPress.com?

  Hi there,

  Do you want to move your site to WordPress.com? WordPress.com plans can only be bought for sites hosted on WordPress.com.

  If you want to use the open source WordPress software at another host, then you don’t need any upgrade on WordPress.com, nor do you need to point your domain to us.
