underline in main nav

    not sure why my blog link isn’t coming up but its http://www.keeleybsmith.com

    I’m just wondering how to underline certain links in my main menu? for example i have BEAUTY BLOG, FASHION BLOG, YOGA BLOG, and I want these underlined so its clear they are headings

    Hi, this would add an underline to the text on each of those menu items.

    li#menu-item-5912 > a, li#menu-item-8213 > a, li#menu-item-5909 > a, li#menu-item-12751 > a {
        border-bottom: 1px solid #ff4dc4;
    }

    We could also make them full width of the menu, but in general a full-width line in a menu would read as the “end” of a section, so if you wish to go full width with the line I would suggest the line be on the top instead. That would end up with the effect of creating sections.

    This would be the second choice I mentioned. I’ve also added a touch of padding to the top to further highlight the sections, and also added a top border line above “My Pages” to complete the effect.

    li#menu-item-5912, li#menu-item-8213, li#menu-item-5909, li#menu-item-12751, li#menu-item-11511 {
        border-top: 1px solid #ff4dc4;
        padding-top: 5px;
    }

    Also, is there any way I can have like an Instant message or comment communication for people who don’t want to enter an email or don’t have WordPress ?

    You can set the comments to where they do not need to put in an email address and do not have to have a WordPress username. You can read more about the various options on Discussion Settings here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/ .

    Hey again so sorry! I have gone with the second option which sections it so good!! I’m just wondering what happens when I want to add a new section? I have many kind of categories I do and it’s likely I will add more over time as I release pages and blogs about different subjects.

    You can add additional CSS selectors to the CSS rule you have used for the new sections. It would be just a matter of going into the source code with your web inspector and finding the unique menu item id for the new menu item and adding it to the first line of that CSS rule (the comma separated selectors) and then that one would get the same styling.
