Understand basics of theming in WP
-
Hi,
I have been useing Concrete5 in my projects, but so many company is do all sites with wp so I’m interested to learn more.My way of doing sites is to limit site publisher rights to style text & images. I think that most of them don’t see what is looking good and what is not. So can you limit that in your wp sites?
If I want to do page where is employers. All of them has pic, name, email & phone. There is x mount off them. How would you do this that you have all controll about output: (example)
‘<img class=”empl”>
<h3>name</h3>
<p>email
phone</p>’
In concrete I would make block type with fields img, name, email & phone. And then publisher coud put it everywhere in page. And I can limit that he can not write html tags so I can controll it.
How about wp?Thanks for answers and sorry that I dont know os themes the right place for this?

I’m not sure I completely understand your question, but if you want to create a series of client sites and give them very specific levels of control over their site, without having each one create an account at WordPress.com, I think you will have better luck with self-hosted WordPress.ORG installs.
Here’s a quick overview of the differences between WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you decide to explore your options with a self hosted WordPress.ORG site, the people over in the forum for .ORG can help you. Here’s the link:
