understanding how to start my website

  I am needing help with starting my website. I really don’t understand much about building a social networking site. I have a domain name through godaddy and I didn’t know if I could build a wordpress website with my domain name through godaddy. Also what do I do from there. How do I customize the site for email, blogs, videos and pictures? I just need to know the first few steps to get started. I really don’t know how to get things going. Thank You,

  As for your domain, you can map it to your WordPress.com blog following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
