    hello, I just hit update on my website and it is not at all what I wanted. I do not know how to unpublish this mistake. Could you please put it back to how it was before I just messed it up, like 12 hours ago. Thank you

    Hey there; we can’t because the site isn’t hosted here with us, but can you check in with your hosting provider to see what they can do? Or, if you were editing a page, you might check into its revisions.

    There are also plugins that can help with this. Jetpack’s Backup option comes to mind and would be perfect in a case like this, since you can rewind to a specific point in the day.

    Going forward, these forums are primarily for sites that use our free-tier hosting. We’re a little different from the WordPress software itself. This article explains some of the differences.

    You’ll want to create an account at WordPress.org so you’ll have access to the correct community for your site. Or, you’d be welcome to host here; your plan would get direct support. If you had a Business Plan, you’d get Jetpack backups as well.
