Undo cancellation of domain and transfer to new registrar

    Hi, I recently cancelled my domain thinking an option to transfer to a new registrar would appear. Can I undo my cancellation, keep the domain and just continue with the transfer? Thanks

    Hi there!

    We can restore the domain for you. Are you planning to use it with your WordPress.com site? If yes, I recommend upgrading to a yearly WordPress.com plan because you’d get a free domain credit for the first year with any yearly plan. We can then use the credit to restore the domain for you.

    I’d like to restore just the domain. The refund hasn’t yet reached my card, so is it possible that the payment for the domain be deducted directly from the refund?

    @pfinances742023, we aren’t able to cancel the refund from this side, even if it hasn’t been routed to your card yet. Here are the options we’ve got:

    Wait: Since your domain was new, you can wait about five days for the domain to be released. So long as no one else buys it before you do, you can purchase it again here or with another provider.

    Repurchase the Domain: We can send an invoice for the domain. Once it’s restored, it will redirect to your free site, or you can point it to another host and transfer after 60 days.

    Purchase an Annual Plan: To host your site here after all, buy an annual plan, skip the domain option, then update us here.
