Undo change of theme?
-
Can I undo a change of theme? I’ve accidentally applied a change to the wrong site and want to return it to the original theme. Unfortunately I don’t remember the name of the theme I was using there before, so I can’t just manually change it back.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I did the same thing but I remembered the theme name. Without that, I think you may have to find it through trial and error. I wonder, though, if WP.com keeps a history…………

@marymcgeewood Were you using the Connections theme? That is a very very old retired theme now. You could restore it from the wp-admin dashboard “Appearance” “Themes” if you wanted to though.

Yes! Thank you!
That also answers another question, as to how one can use a retired theme for a new blog – I particularly like “Sundance” which is also not on the current list.
Much appreciated.

Sorry, follow-up question – do the themes I can see depend on the date when the blog was set up? From wp-admin on the blog I set up in 2010 I can see both “Connections” and “Sundance”, but following the same route from the new blog I can’t see either of them.
Also from the old one I see 536 options, and from the new one only (!) 318.
Thanks again.

That’s correct. As I understand it, (and from my own experiments) as well as all the themes in the My Sites/Calypso dashboard you can use any now retired theme (via wp-admin) that was still current when you first set up your site.
