Undo domain cancellation, please!

  I cancelled the domain with the intent of directing it to a new server, but no I can’t find it at all. Please help. I am switching to BlueHost but I have not been able to create a website and install new themes.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Aloha moralesfit, You may be able to restore your domain. I’m not positive how it works after that. You should be able to transfer the domain, or you may have to redirect the domain to Bluehost for 60 days. I have added the modlook tag to this thread so a staff member can assist you with this.

  Hi there,

  Cancelled domains don’t become available immediately and it can take anywhere from 5 to over 400 days for the domain to be released again. That is why the warning on the domain cancellation page said you should only do that if you don’t want to use the domain any more.

  As you cancelled a day after registration, your domain should be released later this week, and then you (or anyone else) will be able to register it again.

  I can also restore your domain and then you can map it to Bluehost from us instead. This is the safer option as it means your domain won’t go through a phase where anyone else can buy it again, but we only have today and tomorrow to still do that, so let me know if you want me to restore the domain for you.

  Kokkieh, yes, I would like to restore the domain so that I can map it to bluehost. I already have an account at bluehost and my old domain expires next week.

  I apologize for making this mess. I am new to this area of domains and hosts so I really appreciate your help and understanding. I will be more careful next time.

  No need to apologise :)

  Your domain is back in your account and working again. To point it to Bluehost you’ll need to get their name servers, and then you can add them to your domain as described here:

  Change Name Servers
