Uneditable Widgets when Them Changed
-
I changed from the journalist v1.9 theme with 1 sidebar and 4 widgets to the Andreas 09 theme with widgets on left and right.
I like the look of the change. But here’s the issue. in the admin panel when i go to edit a widget (add a link for instance), the widget page says i’m not using widgets. The Links widget is not addable and there are no links showing as being used. Thus, I can’t edit the widget nor can I remove the widget. And when I add a new widget, all the widgets i was using disappear.
Any solutions?

This has come up a number of times recently. It seems that the answer is to change back to your old theme, remove all the widgets (saving text widget info to a text file before you delete them), switch to the new theme and re-add the widgets.
