  i am a baby boomer with very little knowledge of the computer.especially setting things up . we have hibu (yellowbook) setting up our new websit which locks us into !00.00 a month. (uck) an have not bee happy with our visibility on the web. are very satified with website (beaverlakesnursery.com) but would like to start blogging to get more exposure by adding ou website thru links an such. facebook ect.. my emminent question is if i blog on ur site how does it get past ur sit to the whole internet? we may want to discontinue Hibu eventually if things do not change and they will remove our website they created, can u look at it an save the information and copy it as is? we are presently waiting for a google activationcard ,which was supossedly already done back in Oct. 2014. our keywords do not bring us up in a positiv
  e way. ex; topsoilmontroseco, conpostmontroseco, treesmontroseco, gardensoilmontroseco. chekc it out an see what u think–thanks ruth lyn

  Hi, you are in the wrong forum.
  This forum is for blogs/sites hosted by WordPress.com

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  And you should ask in the WordPress.org forum.

  beaverlakesnursery.com – is not a WordPress anything – static plain html site

  https://beaverlakesnursery.wordpress.com/ – empty on a one day old account

  They have several options

  Don’t know if their host would allow installing WordPress.ORG software or not –

  Just having a site here to drive traffic to another site is against the terms of service

  The blog https://beaverlakesnursery.wordpress.com/ – could be mapped as a subdomain to their existing site – that makes the blog here part of their main site – they could then write Posts on different projects they have done and problems they have solved for their customers — that would help search results – low cost – add $13.-/yr for the sub- domain mapping –

  They could move hosts and set up a WordPress.ORG install with their whole site ran by WordPress.ORG – but they are not technically experienced so setting up and moving would be a hire someone for the move and to do some maintenance for them

  Move their entire site here – might need to business plan for that (they are selling things they don’t personally make) – $299.-/yr – again moving would be an issue with no experience – setting up a site here is not hard – but does require some effort.
