Unfollow the followers on my WordPress blog

  • Unknown's avatar

    Dear all,
I have one follower of my blog that followed it from the 3rd June 2014.This person has to be deleted from my followers as it is one person that always try to know everything about me and is a person that I already blocked on another professional profile.
Please let me know how to do so (i.e. to decide who can follow my blog, and decide who can see to my blog).

    Thank you very much.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • If your blog is set as public that means anyone can follow it. You cannot remove or block followers from a public blog. You can keep them from commenting, though, by adding their usernames, blog URL and/or emails (NOT IP addresses) to the blacklist section under Settings ->Discussion on your dashboard.

The only way to control who follows you is to set your blog to private. Then staff can remove any followers you no longer want. But if your blog is private that also means ONLY people whom you invite will be able to read it and they will need to have an account on wordpress.com (though they don’t need to have a blog). You can set your blog to private under Settings -> Reading on your dashboard.
