  WordPress seems to be unfollowing some of my follows!

  I do not understand what you are reporting. And, I do not see any links to any sites that you claim are being unfollowed.

  Please expand and provide relevant and specific details including any URLs so we can assist you.

  The blog I need help with is offtheedgegardening.wordpress.com
  In the last week or so I have been unfollowed by several people. I checked with one them who I noticed had re-followed. They told me that they had been unfollowed by WordPress, they realised that they weren’t receiving my posts anymore and re-followed.

  Without details Staff have zero to work with and cannot help resolve your issue.

  Please provide the usernames or email addresses of those who told you they had been unfollowed by the software. The software will redact ie HIDE all email addresses so only Staff will be able to view them.

  The wordpress above is the only one I am absolutely sure about as I know him personally, numbers have reduced by at least 3 others though. Doesn’t sound a lot but I don’t have many!

  Given the small sample size, I’m tempted to blame this on a mistaken click or other user error. There isn’t a reason that WordPress.com would automatically remove anyone. After all, we WANT people to read your blog!

  The same, highly intelligent and adept, person has just had to refollow me as he was again unfollowed by some greater power. I am sure WordPress want people to follow my blog, perhaps the same gremlins who haven’t wanted to accurately count mine, and many other bloggers, views are to blame!

  I’m afraid I’m not seeing anything amiss anywhere. And I am not hearing significant amounts of other reports of this happening.

  I wish I could help more. But there’s a limit to what I can say to someone who is a 3rd party about another user’s WordPress.com account. Perhaps you could encourage him to contact us and open his own support request?
