Unfollowing a site

  Need to cull my list of followed sites but can’t find a way to get rid of them. Please advice.

  Hi there,

  Go to the Manage Followed Sites page (https://wordpress.com/following/manage) and click the green Following link next to a site you want to remove.

  I keep getting blog posts from a site that I unfollowed. I have gone to the Manage Followed Sites page 4 or five times. It is not listed there anymore. And yet I am still receiving emails from them. Any other suggestions?

  @integrationmassage,

  Are you getting the notifications at the email address you use for your WordPress.com account, or a different email? The most likely thing that happened here is that you subscribed to the site via email only, while not logged into WordPress.com.

  Log out of WordPress.com completely (also delete WordPress.com cookies), or open an incognito/private browser window. Then go to https://subscribe.wordpress.com/

  Type the email at which you receive the notifications in the space provided.

  You’ll receive an email with a special unique link. Copy that link, and then paste and open it in a new browser tab while still logged out/incognito. Do you see the site listed now? Unsubscribe from there and you should no longer get notifications.

  If that doesn’t work either, please let us know the URL of the site in question, as well as the email address at which you’re receiving the notifications.
