unhappy with domain name
-
hi there, i set purchased a domain name yesterday & am not happy with it as i feel i was under false pretences. i paid extra to have a .co.uk domain, but it has come up as .co (whos ever heard of a web address ending in .co?), so i would like to change it please. thank you

Hi,
.co is actually a pretty popular TLD these days, but to help you with this registration, we can still cancel the domain and issue a full refund. We do not support registration of .co.uk on WordPress.com. So you’d actually have to register the domain elsewhere and use a domain mapping upgrade to point it to WordPress.com.
This page has instructions on how to use a domain registered elsewhere with your WordPress.com site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Please confirm if you want us to cancel the existing registration.
Feel free to let me know if there’s anything else you need and I’ll be happy to help.

hi
thanks for getting intouch.
i really feel .co.uk is better for my current needs and will therefore accept a full refund for this.
also, after having a go at ‘building’ my website on wordpress i feel the program is not right for me. its the first time ive done this and now realise id be better off with a DIY site builder for beginners.
can i please request a full refund of my total payment.many thanks for your help.

Please can someone contact me regarding a refund re: previous message
Many thanks -
Hi,
We’ve canceled the domain and issued a refund. It may take a while for the refunded money to appear on your account.
Feel free to let me know if there’s anything else you need and I’ll be happy to help.

Hi many thanks for that. Could you tell me if the full payment of the website, email & domain has been refunded or just the domain?
Many thanks

Hi,
Full payment for the WordPress.com Premium plan, email, and the domain has been refunded. So it’s basically everything that you paid for.
Thanks!

Thank you, your very kind.
Wishing you the best of health and happiness for the coming year.
