uninstall and reinstall wordpress for plugins
-
Hello,
We are trying to reinstall the wordpress site so we can ensure that we can access plugins. currently we don’t have plugins, we think, because we used the auto install. will this affect our premium subscription? will we have to re-apply to it? thank youThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

sorry, we started working on it but didn’t want to get too far into it without knowing if we could add the plugin menu on our admin page.
I just need to know if there’s a way to get the plugins menu working. or if starting over is our only option, thank you so much -
Hi again, nihonnoichiba.jp appears to be hosted here on WordPressdotcom. As such, here’s everything you need to know about plugins on WordPressdotcom sites:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
https://en.support.wordpress.com/ftp-access/#uploading-pluginsThere’s nothing to install or reinstall here. Most importantly, do not delete your site in order to “start over” as you will not be able to recover the underlying WPcom address.
If you need to use plugins other than those mentioned in the first support document, you may want to look at hosting your own install of the standalone WP software. See more about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Thank you, this is excellent, we will reconsider our plan of action. We purchased the URL from a different source, would we still be safe in installing on our own hosting platform?
Thank you again -
I’m not entirely sure what you mean by “safe.” I do see that your above site is set to Private so only invited viewers can see it. Is it your intention to keep your site available only to invited viewers? If so, you would need to ask your potential hosting service about site visibility.
But maybe it’s not even necessary to move off WordPressdotcom. What is it that you are wanting to do with a plugin? Perhaps I can suggest a workaround.
