Hey ckpeacemaker,
Please refer to this support document to do it right. https://en.support.wordpress.com/disconnect-jetpack-sites/
Also, try clearing the browser cache and cookies after disconnecting.

When I go to Settings, there is no “Manage your connections” option, Sir … and when I go to Plugins I see that Jetpack is installed, and I didn’t even install it … also why does it say that I am using my gmail address when I’m commenting on a wordpress friends post? And even if I put in my gmail password it tells me that it is incorrect. And if I put in my msn email address and password, it will not accept it either in order to comment. I did clear my cache as well, but same story. This whole thing is terrible as just 2 days ago I was able to comment and communicate with my wordpress friends just fine. If you have any way to help me with this, I would really appreciate it. Thank you. Chris.

Hi there @ckpeacemaker, please don’t create duplicate threads as it makes it more difficult to track progress on your issue. I see you have a Staff reply in your earlier thread here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/delete-jet-set/ Please follow up only in that thread.
Closing this thread as a duplicate.
@ravichahar just a kind reminder to check the user’s profile page to see if there is a duplicate thread or whether the Duplicate tag has been added to this threads sidebar. If so, please refer the user to their earlier thread for continued assistance. Thanks! https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-com-volunteers/#tips-tricks-and-best-practices
