Uninstalling WordPress
-
I would like to install WordPress via my webhost, but everytime I install it and open the admin page, it tells me this “mrscassandragay.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.” My webhost tells me that only WordPress can uninstall the installation, and then I can proceed to install it with them. Could I get help with this? -
Hey Mrs Gay!
You question is mixing apples and oranges a bit, so I need a bit of clarity.
I would like to install WordPress via my webhost, but everytime I install it and open the admin page, it tells me this “mrscassandragay.wordpress.com is no longer available.
It sounds as if you’re starting a self-hosted site on a new server. However, I’m running into confusion that you’re entering the name mrscassandragay.wordpress.com. URLs that have .wordpress.com in their addresses can only be hosted here.
You deleted mrscassandragay.wordpress.com about 24-hours ago. Deleted blogs cannot be restored or reused. Deleting a blog is permanent and the name cannot be used again.
There are several warnings about this on the Tools -> Delete Site page and in the help pages, and you are required to confirm the deletion by email.
More information is here:

As we only support sites hosted here at WordPress.com, all issues with the new site – including the importing of the file – must be taken to the WordPress.org support community:
Please let me know how else I can help. The WordPress software you will want to install on your server is not available here at WordPress.com, it is at WordPress.org.
If there is additional confusion about WordPress.com and WordPress.org, this may help:
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.
