unintentional spam?

I have created a site with some nonsense sample posts and pages to present to my boss, as a way to show him simply how it will be laid out. We are then going to give the site an old domain name of his, and shut down the other site, after I add some real content.

Here’s the problem. I realize I did not have the privacy setting turned on, and realize that the post pages I have been making are just jibberish, but perhaps they are being disemminated, and aggravating search engines or pinging services or others. Have I caused any harm to the site in terms of the way search engines or anyone else looks at it?

What do you mean by causing harm? But WordPress pings all their blogs through Ping-O-Matic. So whatever you have already posted might be already indexed. Google the url link of that site and see if it’s already indexed.
