Unique Visitors vs Views

  I posted something today and have 20 views, but it says they are all from 1 visitor, even though I know that isn’t the case. Why is it saying only one visitor with 20 views when I know there should be more unique visitors?

  Page views are almost real time.

  Visitors can be delayed for a couple of hours for updating, the software needs to determine if a visitor is repeat for today or first time and that check can take a couple of hours.

  By the end of the day a couple hours after midnight everything will even out.

  So yes if you are watching the stats, you can have the visitor count go up while there have been no new page views, this is because the visitor count software has just checked and found out that those particular visitors were new for the day
