Universal switch for featured images

  The featured images ability works and displays differently for a lot of the themes. In some themes, featured images doesn’t work as well as they do in magazine themes, for example.

  Would it be possible to have a universal option to switch on/off featured images in Settings? Thanks.

  As each theme is uniquely designed and each one that has the featured images feature has different featured image sizes I don’t think this is going to happen. I don’t have any trouble with setting featured images https://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image

  Thanks Timethief. But the trouble isn’t with setting featured images. My issue is that featured images behave differently from theme to theme and where how the featured image is used/display is not ideal, the only option is to painstakingly delete the set featured image from each post.

  I understand but that’s an issue only if and when we change themes. Maybe Staff can provide an automatic featured image resizing feature in the future but my hunch is this will not happen any time soon.
