Unknown and Unregistered Email ID follow my blog| Subscribers Issues

  My Blog is registered with wordpress from the past 3 years. But suddenly this year and precisely from the past few weeks some unknown/ unregistered email ID have started following my blog. For example i would receive emails like fdh#(email visible only to moderators and staff) or (email visible only to moderators and staff) or jjjkkk@hotmail now follow your blog. I am worried about this activity happening on my portal. I have also observed it is impacting on my subscribers list which is visible on my webpage. Since these unknown email ID have started following my blog the real and registered faces are vanishing from my followers list which is making my followers list a fake one. I request team wordpress to help me out with some solution regarding this as soon as possible. You may also visit to my webpage and subscribers page in order to understand this concern.

  Hello there. On a public blog, you cannot block users from Following you. I don’t know why/how these folks found you, but they have. You could always write a new post with a contact form, asking for referral information, if you want to know where they found you.

  If you’re concerned about unknown users, you can make your site Private, and only invited guests can view your site.

  Otherwise, WordPress.com blogs are all open to the public.

  If you decide you want more control over followers, you may want to move from your WordPress.com account to a self-hosted site via WordPress.org:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  I also see that these users have not been spamming your comments, they’re just viewing. If they become active in pestering you, please let us know.
