"Unknown blog" error when attempting to migrate subscribers

We are having trouble migrating our existing WordPress.com subscribers to a new self-hosted WordPress.org site. Following the steps here, when I click the “Migrate” button I receive an “Unknown blog” error. This same error appears when I try clicking the “Actively Monitoring” and “Email Notifications” checkboxes.
JetPack has been set up correctly on the new site (as far as we know) and authorized with WordPress.com. As per another blog post regarding the “Unknown blog” error, I tried the process in Firefox and Chrome (latest versions of both under Windows 7) and it made no difference.
Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry you’ve run into this issue.
Please post the URLs for the current WordPress.com site with the followers now, and the URL for the self-hosted site with Jetpack installed and activated where you would like the followers transferred, and I’ll take care of this for you.

Before I transfer everything over, is http://abo.aborg.net/~angelasw/ the final address of your site, or are you going to eventually have a different URL like angelasutcliffe.com?
I ask because those two addresses could point to the same site but will not be treated the same in our system. If you are going to change your address, you should do that first and then connect the final site to Jetpack before moving the followers.
Let me know, and as soon as I hear back I can move the followers if you wish.

Understood – thank you for the additional information. Once angelasutcliffe.com was pointed to the new site, I disconnected and reconnected Jetpack and tried migrating our followers once more, and it seems to have worked just fine this time!
