Unknown charge

    I have been charged £51 by WordPress today and I don’t know why. I would like to terminate my website from today and request a full refund.

    Hello there, if you go into your account settings and click the Manage Purchases tab you are able to request a refund and turn off auto renewal if you have that on as well. Keep in mind that there is a 30 day refund policy for plans, and 48 hours for custom domains. After this time period it is not possible to receive a refund.

    Refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days if you are in the US, and a little longer if you live outside of the US. For credit card refunds, it could take up to 1-2 billing cycles for the refund to show up.

    I would suggest to wait until you receive your refund before deleting the site

  • theliverpooldiaries, thanks for getting in touch. I’ve had a look at the account. There are not any charges made to it.

    If this charge came from WordPress.com then it is connected to a different account. You would need to sign in to that account and then write back here for us to see it.

    When we process a charge, there’s an email notification that is also sent. You could try signing in with the email address where that notification was delivered too.
