Unknown new user registration?

    I received and email for a new user registration… this was not initiated from my or one other user. is this legit or some kind of hacking thing?

    Sorry, we can’t help you here, your site is a wordpress.ORG one, and this is the wordpress.COM support forums. You should go to http://wordpress.org/support for assistance. It does sound concerning, and there has been concern about wordpress.ORG sites with a user-name of ‘admin’ being hacked, you should ensure that your passwords are strong, and that you have a unique username, but we can’t assist you here, sorry.
