(Unknown or Deleted) on my Site Stats page
-
Hi,
I have been noticing on my Site Stats page under Post Summaries that I have certain items listed as Unknown or Deleted. When I hover over these links they refer to my site with a numerical reference at the end. e.g. http://flattiresandslowboats.com/?p=747When this is clicked it goes to a 404 error page.
I know of nowhere on my site where these bogus links reside. I would love to get rid of them or at the very least prevent the click count on them from growing. Any ideas?
Thanks, Tim

Could you please send me the Site Stats page link of where you see these items listed?

The last 30 days of stats no longer show any “(unknown or deleted)” posts:
The posts had been deleted but there were still some outstanding links to them. The linking pages seem to have updated themselves, so it’s no longer an issue.
In general, these are the symptoms of linking to posts that have been permanently deleted. There is no record of the post or its title, so we can’t display a title.
