Unknown Post Error

I was getting an “unknown post” error when trying to publish or preview my latest entry today, but eventually it did, in fact, publish. I am wondering if this is just something that happens sometimes, or if there is anything I need to address.

I have never experienced that error.
Please tell us:
(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://supportdetails.com/Which editor are you using please?

If the problem is no longer happening, it’s hard for us to figure out what was going on, but if it happens again, could you get a screenshot of the error? Hopefully it was a onetime thing, but if not, seeing what’s happening is a big help.

I think I’ve done that although I can’t tell if the document is actually there. It’s the latest of my myriad media files.

I did get the screenshot, but it’s a picture of your forum post, not the page where you are seeing the error. Could you try again and take the image of the page where the actual error is appearing?
Just make sure you have the error on the screen when you take the screenshot and we should be good to go.

Thanks, I can see it now. That error occurs when the system has trouble saving the post to the server. Usually it has to do with a spotty internet connection. Since you say it happens only occasionally, and rights itself when you save again. It is likely that’s what is in play here.
So to answer your initial question, no, there is nothing you need to address.
If you do decide Blogger is a better fit, let me know and I’ll be happy to help you export your content.
