Unknown search terms (way too many)

In the last week or so, I have noticed significantly fewer search terms showing in the “SEARCH ENGINE TERMS” section of my Stats, and far more “Unknown search terms”.
The sum total number of searches remains constant – it just doesn’t seem to be picking up on what people are using to find our blog anymore.
Nothing (that I know of) has changed on our blog, and the volume of traffic is the same.
Any ideas?

As you have read the relevant support documentation you know the sources of “Unknown search terms” not revealed for privacy reasons. We cannot assist with this.

Thanks Timethief. Yes, I understand. But why the much higher number of unknown search term (and much lower number of visible search terms) all of a sudden? I’ve had this blog for almost 2 years and have consistently seen 10-20 search terms on a daily basis, but for the last week or so it’s down to only a couple/few. Something has definitely changed recently.

The last time this trend happened, the Happiness staff was able to see the glitch and corrected it.

This appears to be a change with how Google is handling keyword searches, as noted in this article:
