Unlink a domain
-
I had the domain http://www.creativejourneydesign.com linked to this site, I now want to unlink it so that I can use it on a different wordpress site but I’m still getting the warning below when I try to log in:
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi tomlewisdesign,
I see creativejourneydesign.com was mapped to tomlewisdesign.wordpress.com but you cancelled and refunded this upgrade a few hours ago — this site has now reverted back to its free address.
creativejourneydesign.com is now pointing to a site (using WordPress.org software) hosted by 1&1. Is that what you wanted to do? Or did you want to map the domain to another WordPress.com site?
If you are still seeing a domain mapping error, please try clearing your browser cache with these steps:
That should help flush out any old DNS information stored in your browser. DNS changes can also take up to 48 hours to fully update.

Hi Gemma
Many thanks for the reply. It’s a bit complicated. I had a WordPress.com site that was hosted by 1&1. Ive now cancelled that and set up hosting with fasthost for a wordpress.org using the domain creativejourneydesign.com.
The error I’m now getting is that the domain is not secure. Does that make sense?

Hi there,
Since neither the domain nor the site is hosted by us (WordPress.com), you need to contact both your hosting and your domain provider to sort this out.
We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us. For help with your site you need to ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

If you want to know more about the differences between WordPress.com and the open source WordPress.org software you can read this article:
