Unlink blog which no longer exists and remove account
-
Long time ago I had a blog and somehow somewhen linked it to wp.com for whatever reason I had back then. Time passed and the blog no longer exists and I forgot about my account here. I stumpled over it again today while looking through old e-mails and wanted to remove that old linked domain, which doesn’t exist anymore delete my account, which I’m not using
Only to find out that this is not possible.
I totally understand that you are just another capitalist company looking for profit and even more profit and therefore want to trap your users inside the little artificial ecosystem you’re so proud of, but seriously, THIS SUCKS!
You won’t earn a cent with me anyways, so please delete me asap!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Wow, now you’ve even added a link to that old no longer existing blog to my post without asking me if I want to. You really know how to piss people off.

You appear to be very emotional. You are leaping to conclusions and have launched into a rude rant without even revealing what the URL you are on about is.

Is it [redacted] ?Know that what I believe truly sucks is emotional people who fail to provide relevant information on this peer support forum, and instead affect a rude tenor and tone thereby breaching the forum code of conduct by launching into blah, blah blah corporate rude rants, and still expect Volunteers to help them.
I tagged this thread for Staff assistance with the removal. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

Yes, it was a very emotional post, I’m sorry if you felt offended by this. It just angers me that this website doesn’t let ME control what data I want to share with it. That’s all. And since this is the only URL associated with my account I thought it would be obvious to staff which one I want to be removed, because there’s not many options to choose from.

Hi there,
I disconnected your old site [redacted] from your WordPress.com account, so it won’t appear here anymore.
You can also follow these steps to stop any notifications from WordPress.com and remove your personal details from the account:
If you are trying to unsubscribe from emails sent to you from WordPress.com, go to your notifications settings and click on “Block Emails.”
You can also go to your account settings to remove all data except the account name and an email address. Create a throwaway email address and change the account email to that throwaway address. This will only leave the username behind.
To ensure the account is locked up tightly, create a strong password and change the account password to it.

May I also request deletion of this thread so it REALLY doesn’t appear here anymore?

Forum threads are not deleted except in cases where they present a valid security or personal safety concern, as mentioned in our Forums Community Standards. However, I redacted the blog’s URL so it is no longer mentioned in this thread.

First you force me to post publicly, which I didn’t want to.
Then your system adds content to my post, which I didn’t want to be included.
Now I ask for deletion of my content, which should never have been there in the first place. You stated that it’s possible to remove the thread. Just push the button then, problem solved, no harm done. You probably could’ve done it faster than typing out your reply. I really don’t get your logic here.
All I want to do is remove content related to ME, which you FORCED me to post against my will. You don’t give me the possibility to do it myself so I have to ask YOU to do it for me.
What do you gain from keeping this thread in your database AND publicly available?
May I appeal to your common sense here?
