unlink blogs
-
I need to get my http://humanbeen.wordpress.com blog and my http://www.nearlyintrepid.com blogs unlinked. I linked them when I went to upload jetpack, but then jetpack caused too many redirects and I couldn’t even get into my nearlyintrepid blog again. I read in the support forums that I have to contact support to get this done. Could anyone please help? I want to use jetpack in my self-hosted blog, but I can’t as long as they’re connected.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there – I’ve detached the site from your account.
Just let us know if you need anything else.

Hello,
i have the same problem with humanbeen (my blogs are linked because of jetpack)
The old blog is http://financialviews.wordpress.com/
and the new one is http://financial-views.com/
Can you please help me with http://financialviews.wordpress.com/ ?
Thanks in advance

manosv35 – Normally, having both a WordPress.com and any number of Jetpack sites on the same account isn’t a problem. Could you please be more specific about the issue you’re having?
Could you please clarify the problem you’re having and confirm that you want the site http://financial-views.com/ detached from your manosv35 account?
Or do you want to give up http://financialviews.wordpress.com/ and have me remove that from your manosv35 account? If I do that, just keep in mind that you’ll no longer be able to access it, unless I transfer it to another user account, which is also possible.

I just had a problem with social media, specifically with Facebook and Twitter. When i publish something through http://financial-views.com/, it looks like it is getting to Facebook for example, but this is done through my connection from http://financialviews.wordpress.com/. I just want this to change. I think it will, once these two accounts become separate.

Could you please show me a specific example of this problem on Facebook so I can determine its cause? Thanks.

I haven’t publish anything yet. I made a test though, something like “Hello World” to see how things work, but i deleted it.
Thanks anyway, I ‘ll just think it over again to see if i get something wrong. In any case, as a solution of last resort i will just delete the blog.
Thanks for your early response.

Well it looks like i ‘ve made it. As far as i can tell, actually there was no problem, it’s just the fact that I get confused between wordpress.com and wordpress.org. It’s a common mistake, as far as I can tell.
Looks like the wordpress.org platform is using wordpress.com to “connect” the shelf hosted blog to social media, through this widget called “jetpack”. At first, I thought I was “returning” to my wordpress.com blog, but it seems that all I need is to just be logged in to wordpresss.com.
Thanks a lot for your time.

Aloha,
I need to unlink a blog that somehow is erroneously advertising new posts at the wrong URL on my
http://www.linkedin.com/in/paulhugel/ activity sectionI am posting to mywordpress blog at http://nko.org
but the linkedin activity section shows they are coming from wordpress and using the old domain http://m.nko.org -
paulhugel – could you please start a new thread to describe your issue in detail, and add the word modlook in the Tags section in the right column so Staff will respond.
