Unlinking two WordPress Accounts

Hi,
I recently created a second account (cathyther.wordpress.com) and linked it to my existing account (cttranscripts.wordpress.com).
However, I prefer to manage them entirely separately, thereby logging in using different usernames/email addresses for each.I followed and completed the “Transferring a Site to Another WordPress Account” instructions. However, the process did not allow for an email address or password to be connected to the ‘cathyther.wordpress.com’ account, therefore I am unable access it.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

I’ll put a tag here to get staff to review your account and help get the sites transferred.
In the meantime, I’d like to review a couple terms to make sure everything’s ready to go to make the transfer. The difference between Account and Site is important.
A WordPress.com Account can have multiple Sites under its single username. It sounds like you have two Sites (http://cttranscripts.wordpress.com and http://cathyther.wordpress.com) under this Account with the username “cttranscripts”.
If that’s correct, have you set up the second Account, which will require a different email and password? As you hinted, it will probably be “cathyther”. If not, you’ll have to do so at some point to be able to transfer your http://cathyther.wordpress.com Site to your “cathyther” Account.
If you have not created that second Account, please wait for staff to weigh in before moving forward. I’m ignorant if you’re able to set up an Account with a Site name that’s already been created. They will know, however, and be able to assist you further.

Jesse is right: you would need to create an account first, then you can transfer the site to that user.
If you’re having trouble creating another account, you can log out of this one (or use an “incognito window”) to create the new account at https://wordpress.com/start/account/user – you would enter the new email and username there.

Follow up…
As instructed, I have created a second account in order to correct/complete the transfer of site ‘cathyther.wordpress.com’ to it.
However, because I had improperly initiated the transfer process prior to setting up the second account, I have no idea where it had actually transferred to, and therefore I have no way of accessing it to complete the process.
Can you please let me know what needs to be done from here?
