  I recently deleted my old site (gretaperel.com) for rebranding. I need to transfer the domain–can you tell me how this can happen?

  Hi there!

  Have you have deleted your WordPress.com site?
  In this case you’ll not able to recover it, if you have a custom domain you can create a new site at WordPress.com and map this domain to your site.

  Hey, thank you for your response.

  Do you mean not recover, forever ever? Or is there a waiting period?

  Also, can you explain what you mean by “custom domain”?

  You cannot transfer a domain that you have canceled. And once canceled, the registrar will hold onto a domain for some amount of time before releasing it again to be registered.

  I can try and reverse the cancellation.

  If successful, you will be able to use the domain here on WordPress.com or point your domain to a new webhost using these instructions:

  Or transfer to another webhost using these instructions:

  Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar
