Unlock Domain

    I need assistance unlocking my domain and transferring back to wix. WordPress support failed to assist with this issue correctly when I asked to halt the domain transfer, so now I need to unlock the domain and get the authorization code for wix.

    I am referring to exppuravida.com, yes. Wix is saying it’s not owned by them right now and so I have no access to my business email address as well as the site.

    I am just trying to reconcile this issue of getting that domain back over to Wix until I can find a better than website solution for my business.

  • Thanks for the additional info. According to our records you cancelled the domain exppuravida.com on March 19th, along with deleting both of your WordPress.com sites and refunding any recent renewals.

    To clarify, when a domain is cancelled in this way it is sent back to the registry to be prepared for resale to the public. Because of this the domain is no longer under our control, and is currently in it’s 80 day “redemption period” as explained here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/#redemption-period

    Because the domain is no longer under our control, we must ask the registry to return it to us, and there is a $80 fee for doing so. This fee is not one we are able to waive for any reason, and must be paid to recover the domain.

    Please check your inbox for the invoice we just sent, which will include a link to pay for the late renewal (redemption) of exppuravida.com. After you make payment please return here to let us know so we can take the next step of recovering the domain.

    IMPORTANT: We do not know to recover the domain unless you let us know you have made payment, so please be sure to come back here and update us, thanks!

    Once the domain is active it can be connected to Wix by following the steps here: https://support.wix.com/en/article/connecting-a-domain-to-the-wix-name-servers

    Let us know what the “Domain name servers” are for your Wix account (by following the steps at the above link) and we can get those added to your domain settings on this end so that it connects.
