Unlock Domain
-
I want to transfer my domain to a new registrar. The new registrar is asking for my Authorization Identification, I can’t get it from WordPress because my domain is locked. How can I unlock my domain?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It looks like you you registered the domain Jan 14th, is that correct?
If so, you have 60 days before you can transfer. So I think you would need to wait until the 14th to complete the transfer. (See link info below)

If you want to use the name with another host you can point the name servers to your new host so the domain name can still be used

If it’s more than 90 days then have you used this process or not?

YIKES! I typed 90 days but meant to type 60 days. Sorry :(
I’ll tag this thread for a Staff follow-up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

Hello Timethief, hehehe. Still the same issue, I am not able to change the lock state of the domain. I can not overwrite it to unlock.

This thread has been tagged for Staff assistance. Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

I’m sorry but I don’t have time projection for you. Staff work through all forum threads tagged for their attention and through all email support tickets in order of datestamps and timestamps – first posted first served, as would be expected.
How long it takes to clear the threads and support tickets depends on how many Happiness Engineers are working on them at any given point in time. It also depends on how complex the issues in each thread and each ticket are are.
Please don’t bump your thread again because it’s not in your best interest to post to it after it has been tagged for Staff help. Also don’t create a new thread or send an email for support either.
When bloggers keep bumping any thread thinking they are going to get service from Staff more quickly they aren’t thinking straight because that moves the timestamps forward and it takes longer to get a response. The same is true if you email more than once the date moves forward and it takes longer to get help.
