Unlock domain for transfer – immediately

    I am trying to transfer a domain name that I registered with WordPress to Network Solutions.

    I have followed all the steps detailed in the support section walk-through, but have discovered in the domain manager control that panel that it is apparently impossible to unlock the domain and make a transfer immediately because it is newly registered domain.

    Is there some way to bypass this? I have to publish my site in the next few days, and I definitely cannot wait until June 26 (when it says the transfer is locked until).

    It’s US law that you can’t transfer the domain management in less than 60 days, but you can easily change where the domain points without doing that. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/
