  So I keep seeing this banner telling me to unlock my blog and earn money. What exactly does that mean? What ads will be seen on my blog site?

  There are various ways in which you can monetize your blog, you can read more about them here:

  If you decide to join WordAds, ads are served from our ad network and based on the browser history for that particular visitor so there’s no way of saying what kind of ads would be displayed.
  The ads you see may be different than those another visitor to your site will see. If you feel an ad is inappropriate or mature, you’ll be able to select Report This Ad on the advertisement itself to report it to us.
