unlock my domain and I need my EEP key…

  Hi,
  I have a domain through you that I haven’t worked on in some time. I’m in the process of getting a new host and need you to unlock my domain and I need my EEP code so I can do that? I can’t find any info about any of this on my log in site.

  I can give you the email associated with the domain as well if needed. I’m just looking for it to be unlocked and looking to get ahold of my EEP code. Any help would be great. Thank you!

  Hi there,

  Only the logged-in owner of a domain can unlock the domain for transfer and request the code. Even if you give us absolute verification that you own the domain, we cannot initiate a domain transfer on your behalf. You must be logged in as the correct account to start this process.

  This really is “can’t”, and not “won’t”, by the way – the button to request a transfer code doesn’t exist in our internal tools, and is only visible to the account that owns the domain. Our system is designed like this intentionally in order to prevent unintentional or fraudulent domain transfers.

  If you don’t remember the login details for the correct account that owns the domain, please follow our account recovery process at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/ so we can help you regain access. Once you’re logged into the correct account, you’ll be able to request the domain transfer code.
