Unlock the Domain

    I have unlocked my domain from my provider but wordpress is not effecting the change for me to continue

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

    Is there an error you’re coming across on WordPress? What’s the domain you’re looking to transfer?

    Make sure the domain you wish to transfer has an extension (TLD) supported by WordPress: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-pricing-and-available-tlds/

    To transfer your domain to WordPress.com:
    – Go to the Domains page.

    – If prompted, choose the blog you wish to add a domain to.

    – Click the blue Add Domain button in the upper right of the domains listing.

    – Enter the domain you wish to register in the search box. Make sure to include the extension, such as .com or .net.

    – If the domain is already registered, the form will say so. Click Yes, I own this domain to add it.

    – Confirm the domain you want to transfer and click the button that says Transfer to WordPress.com. 

    – Confirm that your domain is unlocked. 

    – Enter the authorization code you’ve received from your current provider and click the Check my authorization code button.

    – Once everything checks out, click the Continue button.

    – The last step before checkout is to confirm your contact details.

    – Make a payment to purchase the transfer.

    Once you confirm the transfer it takes about seven days for the process to complete. You’ll receive a confirmation email. If your domain’s name servers are not pointed to WordPress.com yet, you can now set them to point to WordPress.com, or you can add DNS records required to connect an email account to your domain.

    Please note: You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to transfer in a domain. Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain or transfer/map one you already own.

    Can you please let me know the name of the domain you want to transfer?

    Also, note that if the domain has been registered in less than 60 days, then you won’t be able to transfer it. This 60-day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived.
