Unlock the domain issue

  Hi. I recently registered the domain ‘laurenhyoseoyoon.com’ through this wordpress.com. However, I wanted to use wordpress.org which I deleted my domain registered with wordpress.com. Now, I use bluehost to register the domain name ‘laurenhyoseoyoon.com’. In order to transfer this domain name to bluehost, the domain should be unlocked. Can wordpress initiate the unlocking process?

  Hi there,

  Canceled domains cannot be transferred. You need to wait about a week for that domain to be released before registering it through Bluehost.

  So, do you mean about a week after, the cancelled domain will be unlocked which I would be free to register it through Bluehost?

  Exactly. This is what happens to newly registered domains that get canceled.
