Unlocking a domain name.
-
I want to use a domain name – rosietee.co.uk and it says I have to unlock it. How do I do that? The site I’ve registered it with are asking for an IP address and tell me I have to ask for it from you. Seems like there’s two ways of doing this and I can’t do either
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Domain:rosietee.co.uk
Registrar:Namesco Limited
Registration Date:2018-08-14
Name Servers:
ns0.phase8.net
ns1.phase8.net
ns2.phase8.netCan you confirm that you want to use that domain with your (currently private) WordPress.com site? To do that you’d need to purchase an upgraded WordPress.com plan and map that domain to your site.
To upgrade: https://wordpress.com/plans
https://wordpress.com/pricing/

I have added the modlook tag to ask if a member of staff can assist you. -
This domain name is registered with Names.co.uk who also control the hosting. to use this with your wordpress.com site you will need to follow these instructions https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/ where you will see specific instructions for namesco. You shouldn’t need to ‘unlock’ the domain.

Hi rosietee,
Just to confirm what @themagicrobot mentioned — do you want to use rosietee.co.uk as the custom domain for rosietee.wordpress.com? By that I mean, visitors will see rosietee.co.uk in their browser’s address bar when visiting your WordPress.com site.
If so, would you like to keep the domain registered with Namesco and point it to WordPress.com?
Or would you like to transfer rosietee.co.uk to WordPress.com, keep your site and domain in one place and renew the domain through us going forward?
Once I know for sure, I’ll be happy to point you in the right direction.
